Terms of use

Short, and in plain words. Last updated 9 September 2026.

What this site is

TLC News is a service of Time-Line Continuum Pty Ltd. It collects the news feeds that newspapers publish and keeps them in order, so that a subject can be followed over time rather than only read on the day.

The reporting is not ours

Every headline, summary and article in the archive belongs to the newspaper that wrote it. We store a headline, a short summary, the time of publication and a link back to the publisher, and every story on this site points to the paper it came from.

What we offer is the index and the time axis. If you want to read an article in full, follow the link to the publisher and read it there, on their terms.

If you are a publisher and you would rather we did not include your feed, write to info@time-linecontinuum.com and we will remove it.

Your account

An account is for the person who opened it. Please use your own email address, and please do not share your sign-in details.

Use the archive for reading and research. Please do not copy it wholesale, scrape it, or republish it as though it were your own collection.

We can close an account that is being used in a way that puts the service or the publishers at risk. If we ever do that, we will tell you why.

Nothing is charged

TLC News is free while it is in beta. No card is asked for anywhere on this site, and nobody will be charged without being told first. What an account includes says which parts are built and which are still being written.

What we do not promise

We collect from feeds that other people run. If a paper changes or withdraws its feed, or a link we stored no longer resolves, the archive reflects that. Where we know a link is broken or was stored incomplete, we say so on the story rather than letting you click into nothing.

This is a small service run by a small company. We do not promise that it is available at every moment, and we would not want you to rely on it as your only record of anything.

Where this applies

Time-Line Continuum Pty Ltd is an Australian company and these terms are governed by Australian law.
